International House is conveniently located on the east side of campus within walking distance of all campus inaugural activities and offers basic inexpensive accommodations for visitors and guests of the university ranging from $52-67 nightly depending on the accommodation selected.
International House, which has recently undergone a $31 million restoration,
has served the University of Chicago as housing facility and cultural center
for the past 73 years. This building has been home to some 27,000 students including
Langston Hughes, Katherine Graham and Enrico Fermi to name just a few of the
many distinguish alums who have resided here.
Transportation to Campus
Shuttles will be available to transport guests to/from the Sheraton and the Hyde Park Campus. For a detailed schedule, click here (.pdf).
On-Campus Parking
Guests attending the inauguration ceremony at Rockefeller Memorial Chapel and/or the luncheon at Bartlett Dining Commons will receive information about parking in their confirmation materials.
Parking on-campus will be limited due to inauguration activities and Family Weekend.

- 57th St. – north curb from University west 5 parking spots
